The CW revealed its schedule for the upcoming fall television season this morning. If you thought NBC and ABC had a lot of changes to their schedule prepare to be amazed at a CW fall schedule that is 90% different then last year with only The Vampire Diaries sticking put in last fall’s time slot. Additionally sick and tired of airing repeats that nobody watches the CW will hold their fall season launches until October in order to shrink the season and give the netlet more time to market their vastly overhauled schedule.
On Monday 90210 relocates to kick off the week and is followed by the final shortened season of Gossip Girl. The Carrie Diaries will take over the 9 pm ET hour come January.
Tuesday is doctor night with Heart of Dixie followed by Emily Owens M.D. starring Mamie Gummer.
On Wednesday the CW attempts to attract a long forgotten group of guys to watch the network by pairing the Greg Berlanti–produced superhero action drama Green Arrow with Supernatural (moving from Fridays).
The Vampire Diaries stays put on Thursday to open the night while the third new series, fantasy crime procedural Beauty and the Beast follows.
On Friday Tyra Banks disastrously fading America’s Next Top Model relocates and is followed by the returning Nikita.
